The Vacaville City Firefighters Charity Fund has launched a GoFundMe fundraiser to support the family of a code enforcement technician who was killed in a motorcycle crash last week.
Over the weekend, the Vacaville Fire Department confirmed Bryden Nadasdy was killed in the crash along Vaca Valley Parkway near Hillcrest Circle. He joined the agency in 2022.
“He served with the highest level of dedication and commitment, and his loss is deeply felt by the fire department, the City, and the community,” a spokesperson for the fire department said in a statement. “He is survived by his mother and brother. We extend our deepest sympathies to Bryden’s loved ones and join them in honoring his memory and contributions to the community.”
Nadasdy is the son of Vacaville Police Department Sergeant Vince Nadasdy, who died from cancer two years ago.
The crash involving the younger Nadasdy occurred when he was off-duty, a fire official confirmed. It was the second fatality involving a public service official in Vacaville in less than a week, following the death of Vacaville Police officer Matthew Bowen on Thursday.
