Community organizers say a candlelight vigil will be held on Friday in remembrance of two teenagers who died in an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) crash near Winters.
The vigil will be held at Winters High School (101 Grant Avenue) at 9 p.m. or as soon as it is dark, organizers said.
In addition to the vigil, counseling services are being offered by the Winters Unified School District at the high school from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Solano NewsNet was the first to report on the crash that occurred Thursday evening when an ATV being used by three teenagers crashed into a tree near the Lester Farms property on Margaret Way in rural Solano County.
The victims were identified as Noah Marin-Lichwa, 14, and 14-year-old Michael Bazan-Jimenez, both of whom died as a result of their injuries. A 15-year-old from Winters suffered minor injuries and was treated at an area hospital.
The Suzuki ATV that was involved in the crash was impounded by the California Highway Patrol late Friday evening.
