The Vacaville Police Department on Thursday released two still frames from a surveillance video of a jewelry store robbery that occurred one day earlier.
The release came after Solano News Update first reported details of the robbery at the Kay Jewelry store Wednesday afternoon.
Police were dispatched to the store at the Vacaville Premium Outlets around 12:45 p.m. and found a store employee suffering from a stab wound to the arm. Detectives later learned the suspect stole around $60,000 in merchandise.
An eyewitness described the suspect as a balding man standing 5-feet, 8-inches tall wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black backpack. The suspect’s face was partially obscurred by a mask.
Officers said the suspect was last seen riding a black mountain bike toward the Arco gas station on Orange Drive. Police canvassed a nearby trailer park along Lemon Tree Circle, but the search did not result in the capture of the suspect.
Police are asking anyone with information about the crime to call Detective Andrew Yetter at 707-469-4846.
