For the second time in less than a month, a Wells Fargo bank in Solano County has been victimized by an unscrupulous robber.
On Thursday, officers were dispatched to a report of a robbery involving the Wells Fargo branch near the intersection of East Monte Vista Avenue and Browns Valley Parkway.
An individual described as a man between the ages of 20 and 30 fled from the bank on foot, and police established a perimeter along several surface streets and nearby Interstate 80 as they tried to find and apprehend him.
Officers think the suspect may have fled from the scene with the help of a driver in a blue sedan. The California Highway Patrol is assisting with the search.
It was not clear if the robbery on Wednesday was connected to one that happened earlier in the month in Fairfield. There, a robbery suspect fled from a Wells Fargo branch with an unspecified amount of cash. The suspect in that incident has not been captured.
