A major injury crash between a pick-up truck and a motorcycle triggered a SIG Alert for a portion of Highway 37 through Vallejo on Monday.
Around 7:15 p.m., the California Highway Patrol was dispatched to the crash along east-bound Highway 37 near the interchange with Highway 29.
Early reports indicate the motorcyclist was pinned underneath a vehicle. They were transported to an area hospital with major injuries, according to CHP logs reviewed by Solano NewsNet.
For more than an hour, emergency crews worked to process the scene of the crash. A SIG Alert was issued around 7:30 p.m. as traffic was backed up along the number one, or “fast,” lane of the freeway. The SIG Alert was lifted just before 9 p.m.
The crash happened in the same area of the freeway where a fiery collision was reported over the weekend. In that crash, two vehicles were reportedly street racing when one lost control and slammed into a concrete barrier.
