Firefighters in Suisun City rushed to the scene of a car fire that burned dangerous close to an auto body shop on Tuesday.

The fire broke out around 6:45 p.m. behind a garage located along the 200 block of Spring Street.

Billowing black smoke filled the sky in the area, and a freelance Solano NewsNet observed a sports utility vehicle fully engulfed in flames.

The fire was largely contained to the vehicle and the back area of the business. No structures were damaged and there were no injuries.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The blaze broke out during a Red Flag Warning, with forecasters cautioning that a combination of low humidity, gusty wind and hot, dry conditions would make it easier for fires to start quickly and spread rapidly.

The Red Flag Warning period remains in place until Wednesday morning.
