Fairfield police identify human remains found on Saturday
The human remains were identified as Zachary Rose, a Fairfield man who went missing 3 years ago.

The Fairfield Police Department has identified the person whose remains were found in an open field over the weekend.
The remains were identified as that of Zachary Lukas Rose, a Fairfield resident who went missing around three years ago.
Shortly after his disappearance, police carried out several searches, including in the fields around where the remains were located on Saturday.
It wasn’t clear what led police to the field along Cement Hill Road near Peabody Road on Saturday. Details of the investigation have still not been made public.
Those with information about Rose’s disappearance and death are asked to contact the police department’s detectives at 707-428-7600.
