Human remains discovered in Fairfield

The Fairfield Police Department is asking for the public’s help after officers discovered human remains in a rural part of the city on Saturday.
The remains were discovered early Saturday morning in the area of Peabody Road and Cement Hill Road, the agency said in a press release.
The remains have been turned over to the Solano County Coroner’s Office for identification.
The agency said it would not release any additional information at this time because an investigation is ongoing into what happened.
Police say they need the public’s help with this case. Anyone with tips or information is urged to call the agency at 707-428-7600.
