A child from Dixon has died in connection with a train crash that occurred in the San Francisco Bay Area late last month.
Julian Nieves, 9, was removed from life support at a children’s hospital in San Francisco earlier in the week, according to a family friend.
Nieves is the fourth person to die from the train crash near Brentwood. On June 25, a sedan became disabled on the train tracks, which does not have safety arms or signals.
The three other victims include Julia Mondragon, Mercedes Regalado and Maria Nieves. Mondragon and Nieves were both from Dixon.
