Grass fire ignites in rural Solano County near Winters

Fire crews from Vacaville and Dixon battled a grass fire that reignited in rural Solano County on Tuesday.
The fire was reported around 3:30 p.m. along a stretch of Putah Creek Road near Boyce Road outside of Winters.
Light wind was reported in the area at the time of the fire, and crews were able to quickly contain the blaze, with forward progress stopped within 20 minutes.
The fire ignited during a Red Flag Warning period, which covers all of Solano County and Yolo County until Wednesday morning.
