Forecasters with the National Weather Service office in Sacramento have issued a Wind Advisory for Tuesday.
The advisory, which covers all of Solano County, begins early Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. and lasts until 8 p.m.
In a forecast bulletin published Monday afternoon, meteorologists said sustained northerly winds between 15 and 30 miles per hour are likely during the wind advisory, with gusts at times of up to 40 miles per hour in places.
The wind could cause loose tree limbs to fall and blow around objects in yards and elsewhere that are not secured. It may also trigger localized power outages in some areas.
Driving will also be impacted, particularly for high-profile vehicles, during the advisory period.
“Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects,” forecasters advised.
Moderate wind is expected through Wednesday morning before easing later in the day.
