Forecasters with the National Weather Service have issued a Wind Advisory for all of Solano County on Wednesday.
Meteorologists say sustained northerly wind from 20 miles per hour to 30 miles per hour is expected between the hours of 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. Wednesday, with gusts up to 40 miles per hour in some areas during the same time period.
Along the North Bay Mountain and East Bay Hills, gusts of up to 70 miles per hour are possible on the lee side of mountains and foothills, the weather agency said.
Those gusts could cause trees and power lines to fall, which may result in localized power outages, especially where wind gusts are at their heaviest.
Forecasters say those operating motor vehicles should slow down and use extra caution if they plan on driving from Wednesday morning to evening. Residents should secure any outdoor objects that may be blown around by the wind.
The wind is expected to bring a cool down in temperatures throughout the region compared to Monday and Tuesday, according to forecasts reviewed by Solano NewsNet. High temperatures are forecast to be in the mid- to upper-60s throughout the region.
