Weather: Warm-up expected mid-week, pleasant conditions throughout

Temperatures will warm up throughout Solano County this week, giving the region a break from the rain and clouds and yielding to plenty of sun.
Dixon, Vacaville and Rio Vista could see the warmest weather by Wednesday, with temperatures at or above 90 degrees. Vallejo and Benicia will be among the cooler parts of the region, and will offer a break for those looking to escape the heat.
Wind will help keep cooler temperatures in the region until mid-week, with the wind easing up as the thermometer starts to climb. Fire weather is always a possibility, but the hot weather is not expected to lead to an increase in the danger.
Still, burning may be discouraged in parts of the county seeing the hottest weather, and residents are generally advised to mow their lawns during the cooler parts of the day — typically the early morning or late evening hours. (Lawn mowing has been linked to wildfire starts in the past.)
After Wednesday, temperatures will cool throughout the region, settling into the upper-70s and low-80s. There will still be plenty of sunshine for the weekend activities, though the occasional cloud will peek through the sky.
