A 38-year-old Fairfield resident was the victim of a brazen murder outside a Vallejo diner last week.
Edward Anderson was gunned down on September 16 as he sat inside his Toyota Prius parked at the Black Bear Diner along the 900 block of Admiral Callaghan Lane.
Surveillance video captured by a camera pointed at the parking lot showed a masked individual emerge from the passenger side of a sedan and fire at least five rounds through the windshield of the Prius while Anderson was inside.
Police have obtained a copy of the video, which was later posted by diner employees to an Instagram account, where it was shared widely. The citizen watchdog group Vallejo Crime & Safety re-posted the video later in the evening.
A suspect has yet to be named, and police are still investigating the motive. Earlier, officers said Anderson was from Richmond.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Vallejo Police Department.
