Vallejo police seek info after man dies in car crash

The Vallejo Police Department is investigating a two vehicle car crash that left a 59-year-old man dead on Friday.
The crash happened early in the morning within the 2600 block of Redwood Street.
Preliminary information released by the police department said the man was driving along the west-bound lanes of Redwood Street when he made a “turning movement” and crashed into another vehicle.
The driver of the first vehicle was transported to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries, police said. The driver of the other vehicle was also hospitalized and is cooperating with a police investigation into what happened, the agency affirmed.
The identity of the driver killed in the crash was not released.
The police department is requesting anyone with information about the crash to contact the agency at 707-648-4011.
