The Vallejo Police Department on Tuesday announced the closure of its public lobby following a spike of local coronavirus infections.
The closure of the lobby takes immediate effect and is expected to last through early January 2021, the agency said. The police department’s code enforcement office will also be off-limits to the public.
Both buildings are subject to re-open base on the guidance of county and state health officials, the police department said in a news release. Vallejo has seen the worst outbreak of COVID-19 infections compared to all other cities in Solano County.
During the closure, the agency will continue to “process vehicle releases and deliveries,” a spokesperson said. Anyone with service-related questions is asked to call the police department’s records division at 707-648-4491 from Monday to Thursday during normal business hours. Code enforcement inquiries can be made by calling 707-553-7218.
