Police in Vallejo are investigating the death of a homeless man as a possible suspicious act.
The case started last Wednesday when police were called to the 400 block of Lincoln Road East after someone located an unconscious homeless man to the rear of a business there.
The victim was declared deceased at the scene. He was identified by police only as a 65-year-old unsheltered man.
A police spokesperson told Solano News Update that the case is being treated as suspicious based on the circumstances of the situation, and that an autopsy report is still pending. The spokesperson said they were not able to provide additional information about why police believed the death was suspicious.
“Once we are able to provide more information, we will be certain to do so,” the spokesperson promised.
Anyone with information about the case is asked to contact detectives with the Vallejo Police Department at 707-648-4278 or 707-648-5430.
