A suspect wanted in connection with a late October hit-and-run incident was arrested by Vallejo police officers on Wednesday following a string of new alleged crimes.
Randy Saitz, 24, was taken into custody Wednesday morning at a home along the 400 block of Hilton Street.
Police said Saitz led them on a chase after officers attempted to pull over a stolen 2013 Silver Hyundai that he was reportedly driving. The chase ended at the home where Saitz reportedly took one person hostage, police said.
“The residents took action to defend themselves and disarmed the suspect,” police said. Their action resulted Saitz sustaining an unspecified injury. He was arrested and received medical care at an area hospital.
Saitz was also the prime suspect in an October 30 hit-and-run crash that left two people injuredy, police said.
