A Vallejo man was arrested over the weekend on various guns and drugs charges, according to a statement by the California Highway Patrol.
The incident started after an eyewitness called police to report a vehicle driving recklessly along east-bound Interstate 80 near Vallejo.
A CHP officer spotted the vehicle and pulled it over along Tuolumne Street, a spokesperson said.
“The officers contacted the driver, who was uncooperative,” the CHP said. “Following multiple attempts to gain compliance from the driver, he was placed under arrest for obstructing and delaying a police officer.”
The CHP didn’t name the person in their press release, but a search of jail booking logs revealed the suspect to be 52-year-old Emmitt Adams.
A search of Adams’ vehicle turned up several drugs and at least one loaded firearm, the CHP said.
Adams was booked into Solano County Jail on various criminal offenses. As of Monday evening, he remained in jail on a $95,000 bond and a separate, no-bail charge related to a probation violation.
