Two people who were arrested in connection with the September murder of a Vallejo man had their charges abruptly dropped this week.
Destinee McFarland and Dashana Cordoba, both 23 and from Vallejo, were no longer listed in custody according to Solano County Jail booking records reviewed by Solano NewsNet on Monday.
McFarland and Cordoba were arrested late last year in connection with the September 3 murder of 23-year-old Daimon Ferguson. McFarland was arrested in Fairfield while Foster was detained in El Paso, Texas, police said.
The charges against both individuals appeared to have been dropped, according to brief court records reviewed by Solano NewsNet. The news was first reported on Facebook by Sean West, who runs a popular, social media-based community watch group called Vallejo Crime & Safety.
A third person, Jadontae Foster, could be released later this week, West said. Solano NewsNet was not able to confirm that information, and it was not clear why the charges were dropped against the two other individuals.
At the time of their arrests, the Vallejo Police Department said it worked with homicide and gang detectives across state lines to capture two of the wanted individuals.
