Two-alarm fire impacts several homes in Vacaville

Vacaville firefighters were busy on Tuesday after a series of vegetation-fueled blazes erupted near a school.
The fire was initially reported as one affecting a trash can near a home along the 500 block of Trinity Drive, which runs parallel to Fairmont Elementary School.
When firefighters arrived just after 3 p.m., they witnessed a sizable smoke column coming from the fire, which had spread to several trees and the garage of a residence. A second alarm was struck, drawing firefighting resources from other fire houses in Vacaville and neighboring Fairfield.
The fire ultimately impacted four homes — three along Trinity Drive and one along nearby Marshall Road — before it was brought under control.
The cause of the fire was not immediately clear. No injuries were reported. Roads remain closed throughout the area.
