A truck that was reported stolen out of Fairfield on Tuesday was later discovered in a rural Solano County field.
Around 7:45 p.m., Solano County emergency crews were dispatched to a report of a rollover vehicle crash along the 9100 block of Winters Road just south of Putah Creek Road.
The dispatch came after eyewitnesses reported a Ford F-250 truck veering off the roadway, crashing through some bushes and overturning in a field, according to a CHP log reviewed by Solano NewsNet.
Crews from the Dixon Fire Department and the Winters Fire Department were dispatched to the scene along with officers from the California Highway Patrol and deputies from the Solano County Sheriff’s Office.
After running the license plate on the truck, officers discovered it had been reported stolen by Fairfield Police earlier in the day.
One person inside the truck was able to crawl out of the vehicle with minor injuries. They were being questioned by the CHP as of press time. It was not clear if the driver would be taken into custody.
No other information about the crash was available.
