Morning and afternoon commuters who travel through Rio Vista may want to add some extra time for their trip this week.
Starting Wednesday, workers with the California Department of Transportation (CalTrans) will conduct ongoing tree maintenance along a section of Highway 12.
In order to safely carry out their work, transit officials will establish one-way traffic control along Highway 12 between Summerset Drive and Drouin Drive from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The traffic control measures will be in place from Wednesday, May 11 until Friday, May 13.
CalTrans will continue their tree maintenance work next Monday.
“Motorists are advised to expect delays and exercise caution while driving in this area,” a CalTrans official said in a news release. The work may be delayed due to weather conditions, officials said.
