A recent air show at Travis Air Force Base drew a crowd of over 110,000 people, officials said this week.
The two-day “Wings Over Solano” air show and open house offered more than three dozen aerial demonstrations, 24 modern and vintage military and civilian aircraft and more than a half-dozen weapons systems on display.
“We are so happy to be able to put together an event like this and open our gates to the community,” Lieutenant Colonel Mike Deprey, the director of the open house, said in a statement provided to a military news service.
Officials said the air show was an opportunity to help the community engage with members of the service.
