Crews with the California Department of Transportation (CalTrans) will be performing road work and replacing parts on the Rio Vista Bridge, starting tonight.
The work is scheduled to be performed between the hours of 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. from February 1 through February 3, CalTrans said in a news release.
During those times, crews will be providing one-way traffic control on the bridge. Wait times will vary depending on the time of night and the amount of traffic.
For travelers whose destinations are in Sacramento County, CalTrans suggests using Interstate 5 as an alternate route. For all other destinations, CalTrans encourages motorists to use State Highway 4 and Interstates 80 and 680 as alternates.
Current road closures in Rio Vista and elsewhere can be found by viewing the CalTrans Quick Map by clicking or tapping here. Motorists can also call CalTrans ahead of their travels by dialing 1-800-427-7623.
