Traffic Alert: Four-vehicle crash reported along I-80 near Dixon

The California Highway Patrol and Solano medics are responding to a multi-vehicle crash just outside Dixon.
The crash happened around 10 p.m. along the east-bound lanes of Interstate 80 near the Kidwell Road off-ramp.
According to traffic logs reviewed by Solano NewsNet, the crash started when a sedan spun out on the freeway and struck the center divide. Two other cars were involved in the crash, though it’s unclear to what extent.
The CHP reported a wide debris field in the roadway. Within minutes, a Toyota sedan crashed into the debris, spun out and hit the center divide as well.
Emergency crews are reporting two minor injuries so far. Traffic is expected to be impacted in the area.
The crash happened during rainy weather when forecasters said roads would be slick. Safety officials urge drivers to slow down and use their headlights during periods of rain.
