A pair of fires kept Suisun City firefighters busy over the holiday weekend.
The first fire erupted Sunday around 2:45 p.m. at a home along the 500 block of Honker Lane. The wind-whipped fire triggered a three-alarm response after flames and embers spread to a neighboring home.
The first home sustained heavy damage, while the neighboring home was moderately damaged.
It was not clear if anyone was inside either home at the time of the fire, whether anyone was injured or how many people were displaced by the blaze.
Suisun City firefighters said they received mutual assistance from fire agencies in Fairfield, Vacaville, Vallejo, Travis Air Force Bsae and the Montezuma Fire Protection District. The Benicia Fire Department provided coverage to other parts of Suisun City while firefighters worked the three-alarm blaze.
Overnight, firefighters were dispatched to a vehicle fire along the 900 block of Edgewood Circle.
The vehicle fire was quickly extinguished and did not spread to nearby structures, fire officials said.
The house fires and the vehicle fire are all still under investigation.
