Two teenagers were taken to local hospitals after their car crashed into a home during a street race in Fairfield on Friday.
The crash happened around 2 p.m. near the intersection of Clay Bank Road and Cement Hill Road.
Early information indicates two teenagers in a dark-colored Mercedes sedan were street racing a BMW along Cement Hill Road when the driver of the Mercedes lost control of the vehicle and plowed into a sound wall along Warmth Court.
The crash destroyed a portion of the sound wall and damaged a window at the home there, a Solano NewsNet reporter witnessed.
The driver of the crash, identified in police dispatches as a minor, was later located at Fairfield High School. The driver was taken to an area hospital for a medical evaluation. It was not clear if the driver was facing any charges.
A passenger inside the crashed car was treated at the scene for unknown injuries and later taken to a hospital in Vacaville as a precaution.
The other vehicle involved in the street racing incident has not been located as of Friday afternoon.
