Suisun City firefighters rescued five people from a disabled boat in the Suisun Slough early Thursday morning.
Firefighters responded to an emergency call from the U.S. Coast Guard around 2 a.m. following a report of a stranded boat near Goat Island.
The Coast Guard said five individuals, including a child, a teenager and two elderly citizens, were stranded on the boat.
"With the temperature dropping outside, mild hypothermia had started to set in and an immediate rescue became necessary," a fire official said in a Facebook post.
Boat 47 was quickly deployed to the scene with two firefighter-paramedics and a fire chief on board. All five individuals were rescued successfully.
The passengers were transferred to a Coast Guard vessel where they were treated for conditions related to hypothermia. They were later transported to family members waiting at the Suisun City Marina.
