Solano County District Attorney Krishna Abrams will remain in her post after winning another term as the county’s top prosecutor, Solano NewsNet projects.
Abrams defeated Deputy District Attorney Sharon Henry with more than 60 percent of the vote, according to preliminary figures reviewed by Solano NewsNet on Tuesday.
Abrams won endorsements from every law enforcement union in Solano County as well as the backing of local chambers of commerce and city and county officials. Her platform spoke of advocating for victims’ rights while being tough on criminal offenders.
Henry campaigned on a platform of criminal justice reform that sought alternate sentences for criminal defendants with mental health issues and a return to accountability for law enforcement officers who are involved in police shootings and other acts of malfeasance.
Prior to the primary race, Henry filed an age discrimination lawsuit against Abrams over allegations of age discrimination and retaliation.
