Would you like some fries with your COVID-19 vaccine?
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Solano County Public Health Office are teaming up with some local McDonald’s franchises to offer free COVID-19 vaccines at select Solano County restaurants.
The initiative started Monday when Solano County health officials began administering the first dose of the vaccine to visitors of the McDonald’s restaurant inside the Raley’s shopping center on Alamo Drive in Vacaville.
Additional pop-up clinics are scheduled to take place at McDonald’s restaurants in Benicia, Fairfield, Rio Vista, Suisun City, Vacaville and Vallejo over the next few days.
Those who opt to receive their vaccine at a participating McDonald’s location will earn a coupon good for one free menu item. No appointment or health insurance is required.
