The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for three adults who went missing in the water south of Rio Vista on Sunday.
Police and fire rescuers were called around 2:30 p.m. to an area near Brannan Island State Park after a report of four people who needed to be rescued from the water.
The Coast Guard was also activated to help search the water for the individuals. A child was eventually located and rescued, according to a statement from the Rio Vista Fire Department.
The search has now turned into a recovery effort in an attempt to locate the three adults who were involved in the incident, the fire depatment said. No identifying information was available about the adults at the center of the search, though KCRA-TV (Channel 3) in Sacramento reported the missing individuals were men.
No other information was available as of Sunday evening.
