The work is being done overnight to limit traffic impacts but may still create congestion in construction areas.

California’s state transit agency Caltrans is warning of possible travel delays through Solano County as workers start repairs and modifications to two freeway interchanges near Cordelia.
The road work starts Thursday evening when east-bound lanes of Highway 12 will be closed at Red Top Road west of Cordelia. The closure begins Thursday at 9 p.m. and lasts until Friday at 5 a.m. During the closure, motorists will be forced to detour from Highway 12 until they reach the east-bound lanes of Interstate 80.
On Friday, work will shift to Interstate 80 in the same area. Two west-bound lanes of Interstate 80 will be closed between Friday night at 9 p.m. until Saturday morning at 8 a.m. During that time, the other two lanes of Interstate 80 will remain open to traffic, though with reduced speeds in areas where active road work is taking place.
On Saturday, three west-bound lanes of Interstate 80 near Red Top Road will be closed to traffic from Saturday at 7 p.m. until Sunday at 10 a.m. At that time, just one lane will be open for vehicle traffic, Caltrans said.
The weekend road work is part of a larger freeway improvement project that is expected to improve safety, decrease travel time and ease congestion. The project is being carried out in phases as road maintenance funds become available.
The entire project is expected to finish sometime in 2022, Caltrans said.
