The Rio Vista Police Department arrested two people during a recent probation sweep last week.
The probation searches were carried out in response to an increase in car, residential and business burglaries over the last few weeks, the agency said in a release.
The Solano County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the probation searches, Rio Vista police said.
The agency didn’t say whether the two arrests were linked to the theft spree in town, but they did remind residents to remove all valuables from vehicles, lock doors and set residential and business alarms if they’re available.
Additional police officers will be dispatched to problematic areas over the next several weeks, the agency said.
