For the second weekend in a row, Solano County will see elevated fire danger due to weather conditions.
The forecast conditions prompted meteorologists with the National Weather Service to issue a county-wide Red Flag Warning.
The warning period starts Saturday morning at 8 a.m. and ends Monday evening at 6 p.m. It replaces an earlier issued Fire Weather Watch covering the same time period.
Forecasters say a combination of gusty wind, low humidity and warm temperatures will cause any new fires that start to spread quickly, especially when the ignite light, flashy fuels like dry vegetation and brush.
Outdoor burning is not recommended during the Red Flag Warning, and may be prohibited at times by local or county officials.
Forecasters are predicting sustain valley wind between 10 miles per hour and 20 miles per hour during the weekend, with gusts at times up to 35 miles per hour.
Humidity is expected to be "in the single digits or teens," meteorologists said in a weather bulletin issued Friday morning.
