More rain is expected to cross through Northern California starting on Tuesday, according to a special statement issued by the National Weather Service’s Sacramento office on Sunday.
The next widespread rain event is expected to take place Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning, forecasters said.
Light to moderate rain is projected for inland Northern California, including Solano County, while moderate to heavy snow could be seen in the Sierra Nevada.
Forecasters say rainfall amounts could be anywhere from a 0.25 inch to 1 inch of rain in the Sacramento area.
“Wet, slick roads could impact the Tuesday commute,” forecasters said in the special bulletin issued on Sunday.
Showers could be experienced through Wednesday morning until dry conditions return for the area, the agency said.
