A Vacaville woman who was allegedly kidnapped by her husband Saturday evening was found safe at a convenience store in Cordelia, according to police dispatches reviewed by Solano News Update.
Around 7:30 p.m., Vacaville police were dispatched to a motel where employees reported a pregnant woman who worked as a housekeeper there was assaulted by her husband.
A clerk at the motel told police the housekeeper was forced into a vehicle driven by her husband, which prompted authorities to open a kidnapping investigation.
Police attempted to make contact with the suspect and the victim at a trailer where they both live, but the trailer appeared to be empty, according to dispatches. Authorities later issued a county-wide alert for the suspect’s vehicle.
Around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Fairfield police spotted the vehicle parked in front of a convenience store along the 4400 block of Central Place in Cordelia. The victim was found safe, and the suspect was detained.
No further information was available as of early Sunday morning.
