Police investigating crash involving pedestrian in Fairfield

Fairfield police are on the scene of a crash involving a pedestrian.
The crash was reported around 11:30 p.m. along the 2700 block of North Texas Street near the intersection with Cement Hill Road.
When officers arrived, they found a pedestrian laying in the middle of the roadway. The victim was suffering from a head injury but was otherwise alert and talking with officers, according to dispatches reviewed by Solano NewsNet.
Surveillance cameras showed the victim was struck by a vehicle while crossing at the intersection, then dragged for a short distance.
North Texas Street is closed to traffic at Cement Hill Road while police investigate the incident.
