A standoff at a home in Fairfield ended with one person being detained by tactical law enforcement officers on Wednesday.
The situation unfolded Wednesday afternoon at a residence along Crowley Lane near the intersection of West Texas Street and Pennsylvania Avenue.
The exact circumstances of what led police to the home in the first place were not clear, but preliminary information indicates the suspect fled from officers earlier in the day when they contacted him.
A resident later told police that the suspect was seen entering a home along Crowley Lane. A S.W.A.T. team was dispatched, and the suspect was taken into custody just before 7:30 p.m.
Solano NewsNet is not naming the suspect at this time because he has not been formally accused of or charged with a crime. But reports published by a local newspaper indicates the suspect has a lengthy criminal history, including arrests in 2011 and 2014.
No other information was available as of Wednesday evening.
