Pedestrian crash involving minor reported in Fairfield

Emergency crews in Fairfield are responding to a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
The crash was reported around 3:45 p.m. near the intersection of Fairfield Avenue and Breton Drive south of Air Base Parkway.
When emergency crews arrived, they found an 11-year-old child suffering from head, neck, shoulder and arm pain. The minor was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The child may have been riding a bike or scooter at the time of the crash. A dispatch reviewed by Solano NewsNet said the child was not wearing a helmet when the crash occurred.
It was not clear what led up to the crash between the child and the sedan. Police, firefighters and medics remained on scene as of 4 p.m.
