An overturned tanker that was carrying more than 3,000 gallons of fuel forced the partial closure of a highway in Vallejo on Tuesday.
The crash was reported around 6 a.m. along the west-bound lanes of State Highway 37 near Skaggs Island Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident briefly resulted in the full closure of Highway 37 while officials investigated the scene, including whether there were any public safety or health threats posed by the overturned tanker.
Officials determined the tanker was carrying 3,800 gallons of diesel fuel, but none of the fuel spilled onto the roadway.
No one was injured in the crash, the City of Vallejo said in a social media post on Tuesday.
The west-bound lanes of the freeway re-opened to traffic around 4 p.m., transit officials said.
