One person was hospitalized with traumatic injuries after a sideshow and a shooting in Vallejo on Sunday.
The sideshow started around 9 p.m. near the intersection of Lewis Brown Drive and B.W. Williams Drive. At least one person was struck by a vehicle during the sideshow, according to video published online.
The person was taken to a hospital with traumatic injuries and is expected to survive. Their identity was not known as of Tuesday afternoon.
The incident happened around the time as a separate shooting that took place in the same areas as the sideshow. One person was treated at a hospital for non-life threatening injuries sustained in the shooting, according to emergency officials.
The fire department did not respond to either the shooting or the sideshow, according to the Vallejo Times-Herald newspaper. The incidents were observed from the air by a California Highway Patrol airship. Police from Vallejo and American Canyon eventually broke up the sideshow.
Around 200 cars participated in the sideshow on Sunday. A smaller sideshow was also reported on Monday, though emergency officials said the bulk of their calls for service were related to illegal fireworks use and brush fires.
