Police in Suisun City have released new details about a shooting that took place near a home Monday evening.
Solano NewsNet was the first news outlet to report on the shooting along Seagull Drive near Pelican Way last night.
Around 8 a.m., officers were dispatched to a report of shots fired in the area. When they arrived, police found more than 50 shell casings that were connected to the shooting.
One person was found with a gunshot wound to the face, according to a press release issued by the Suisun City Police Department. They were identified by a source familiar with the incident as Gabriella Huerta, a local resident; the source later said the shooting appeared to be a case of “retribution.
On Tuesday, police confirmed the shooting was suspected to be a “targeted attack,” but they offered no additional details beyond that statement.
Detectives are still investigating what happened. Anyone with information is asked to call the police department at 707-421-7373.
