Man barricaded inside Fairfield home draws police response

Fairfield police are at the scene of a home along the 2900 block of Montclair Way, where an individual inside is wanted in connection with a weapons-related offense.

The situation began around 8 p.m. when police received a call from service from someone in the neighborhood who described a person brandishing a weapon. When police arrived, the suspect barricaded themselves inside the home.

The incident has drawn a significant police presence to the neighborhood, and law enforcement officials are asking residents on Montclair Way and nearby streets to remain in their homes.
