A domestic violence incident led police in Fairfield to a cache of rifles and assault-style firearms this week.
Around 10:45 a.m., officers responded to a home after receiving a report that a man had threatened his girlfriend with a gun at her home.
Police apprehended the man, identified as Fairfield resident Robert Breed, at his home a short time later. A search warrant was obtained for his residence, and officers discovered a cache of firearms, including two AK-47 rifles, two Glock handguns and a tactical shotgun.
Breed had a prior felony conviction that prohibited him from owning any guns, police said. He was booked into the Solano County Jail on charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and assault with a firearm.
Police said an additional vandalism charge was added to the list when Breed allegedly broke a table, lights and ceiling tiles inside a police interrogation room.
