Man arrested after shooting another in face
The suspect was arrested after receiving medical treatment for stab wounds at a nearby hospital.
A Suisun City man was arrested this week after police say he shot another person in the face during an argument.
The incident happened around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Newport Way where officers were dispatched to a report of a person who had been shot. Police called an ambulance to the scene, and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. He sustained non-life threatening injuries, police said.
“Officers were able to obtain a description of the suspect and vehicle involved, and sent the information to neighboring Solano County law enforcement agencies,” a Suisun City police spokesperson wrote in a social media post, adding that the same vehicle and suspect were spotted in which the person brandished “a firearm at a nearby apartment complex.”
A few hours after the shooting, officers in nearby Fairfield received a report of a person who was admitted to a hospital with stab wounds. The person was later connected to the shooting in Suisun City.
Officers identified the suspect a 27-year-old Kenny Reed of Suisun City. He was arrested after receiving medical treatment for his wounds and transported to the Solano County Jail on felony weapons and assault charges, police said.
