The City of Rio Vista says a water main repair scheduled to take place Wednesday morning may lead to discolored water later in the day.
The repair will take place between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. along the 100 block of South Third Street.
Affected residents were notified through a door tag that was left at their homes on Tuesday, officials with the city said.
“Due to this repair, when water is turned back on, residents may experience brown or rust-colored water,” a city spokesperson said in a statement. “The water is safe — please run your tap water for a few minutes until it clears.”
Residents and businesses who continue to experience discolored water are asked to contact the Rio Vista Public Works Department at 707-374-6451, ext. 1106.
