California officials have extended a deadline for residents and other property owners to apply for state wildfire debris cleanup assistance.
The cleanup effort is being carried out in phases. The first phase, which involved the removal of hazardous waste and debris from burned-out homes and other structures, is nearing the end. The second phase involves clearing out contaminated debris.
Those affected by the LNU Lightning Complex wildfire are urged to submit a “Right of Entry” form so county and state officials can begin to clean up contaminated debris from affected properties.
Forms are available to download by clicking or tapping here. Completed forms must be e-mailed to the Solano County Department of Resource Management at LNU-ROE@solanocounty.com or submitted in person at:
Solano County Department of Environmental Health
675 Texas Street, Suite 5500
Fairfield, California 94533
More than 300 homes were damaged or severely destroyed by the mid-August wildfire. Another 900 non-residential strutures were damaged or destroyed by the blaze.
