The incident began Friday around 10:30 p.m. when officers received a call of several subjects firing handguns into the air near the 600 block of New Bedford Drive.
Vallejo police requested the assistance of the Solano County Sheriff’s Office and the California Highway Patrol during the incident.
Police gave commands in English and Spanish from a loudspeaker on a tactical vehicle. A standoff ensued for about 20 minutes before police were able to make their way into the home.
One resident was detained. Officers cleared the inside of the home and recovered a rifle and a handgun, according to dispatches.
