Solano County health officials in partnership with local hospitals and health clinics will be conducting a mass COVID-19 vaccination event on Friday and Saturday in Vallejo.
Vaccines are available for the first 4,000 Solano County residents who meet current eligibility requirements and who sign up for an appointment online, the Solano County Public Health Office said in a statement on Thursday.
Currently, eligible Solano County residents who may receive the COVID-19 vaccine include:
First responders (police, fire, paramedics, EMTs)
Health care workers
Individuals who are 75 years of age or older
Vaccines will be administered at the Exposition Hall located at the Solano County Fairgrounds (900 Fairgrounds Drive, Vallejo). A limited number of appointments are available for Friday, February 12 and Saturday, February 13. Those who are interested in making appointments are asked to register at the following websites:
Friday, February 12 - click or tap here
Saturday, February 13 - click or tap here
The appointment dates are for the first of two COVID-19 vaccine shots. A second dose will be administered on the same date the following month (i.e., those who secure an appointment for February 12 will be asked to return for a second dose on March 12, and those who secure an appointment for February 13 will be asked to return for a second dose on March 13.)
Additionally, the Solano County Public Health Office said those with appointments need to know the following information:
Face masks are required.
Individuals with appointments will be asked to show photo ID to determine proof of residency.
Individuals who are not 75 or older will be asked to provide an employment badge or identification to determine eligibility.
Those with appointments should arrive no earlier than 20 minutes before their appointment time, and should expect to be on-site for about an hour.
Individuals receiving the COVID-19 shot are asked to wear a t-shirt or other loose-fitting tops because the shot will be administered in the upper arm.
The Solano Transportation Authority and Solano Mobility have different transportation options for those who secure an appointment and need help with transportation to and from the event. For more information, visit https://solanomobility.org or call 1-800-535-6883.
